“So how long have you been here?” – a common question that I often guestimate a response to whenever I meet someone new. If I calculate global citizenry with the seven-year duration required to be a US citizen, would seven years outside our home make you a “citizen of nowhere”? It’s a laughable idea to lose citizenship after extended stays overseas, but it could “make sense” to someone somewhere somehow in an anti-globalist world.
Wanting to learn to make data dashboards and better understand my movements. I crunched my passport data into this dashboard and discovered these little wonders. In April 2019, I created Version 1 and in July 2021, I made Version 2 below.
